“I just received the following note from one of our Inner Circle members.  Below the note is my response.”

I thought this might cause some to  chuckle (not to be confused with the candy—Chuckles).

“I’m not a genius. I’m just a tremendous bundle of experience.”

R. Buckminster Fuller, inventor

I thought the term “bundle of experience” was interesting.

How about a bundle of knowledge and skills?

Sorry. Shouldn’t provoke, but this IS a “great work provocation.”

If you were an elephant, you’d have every right to feel aggrieved at the various lies and misunderstandings that have been put around about you over the years. Everything from having no knees (they do), being scared of mice (they aren’t), and even needing to eat the mandrake root to conceive (they don’t).

Have you checked your “facts” lately?
What might not be as true as you think it is?

“The illiterate of the 21st Century will not be those who cannot read or write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.”

Fyi…John

You may be an ambassador to England or France
You may like to gamble, you might like to dance
You may be the heavyweight champion of the world
You may be a socialite with a long string of pearls

But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody

Bob Dylan, “Gotta Serve Somebody,” from the 1979 album Slow Train Coming

Who are you serving today?
How might you best serve yourself?

——————

This reminds me of a something I heard in church growing up, it went

something like this: You may not decide to serve the Lord but you will
end up serving something or someone.
Apart from that it is interesting to think in terms of who or what we are serving
in regards to our values and motivation.

John
